I'm Nico Dertnig, a young alpinist from Austria. The mountains have always been more than just a hobby to me - they are where I feel alive the most.

From classic alpine routes to technical climbing, I'm constantly looking for the next summit, the next challenge and the next peak to explore.

I'm drawn to places where the outcome is never guaranteed. The higher I go, the more i feel.

Every ascent starts long before the summit. Training, discipline, failure and getting back up - that's where progress happens.
